Take Action

When everyday Nebraskans do what we can, where we are, we make a real impact.

Advocacy Tools

Looking to create positive change in your community? We've put together helpful resources to guide your advocacy efforts and help you take action.

Local Actions

Here are actions you can take right now to protect our rights and freedoms at the state level.

People Power

People Power is ACLU National's grassroots advocacy platform, a nationwide network that includes Nebraska activists, volunteers and supporters organizing in our communities.

Speaker or Sponsorship Requests

If you're planning an event and seeking a speaker and/or sponsorship, we'd love to hear from you. Although we're unable to attend or support every event, we review all requests and do our best to support community partners.

Support Our Work

Our work advancing equality and justice relies on your support.

Other Ways to Give

If you’d prefer to send a check to support our work, please address it to the ACLU of Nebraska, 134 S. 13th St. #1010, Lincoln, NE 68508. Please designate if it is a gift to the American Civil Liberties Union or the American Civil Liberties Union Foundation. Learn about the difference. For any gift made directly to the ACLU of Nebraska Foundation, we will provide an acknowledgement and tax receipt. For any gift made to the ACLU, we will send an acknowledgement.

Planning an organizational fundraiser? We're grateful for your support. We encourage you to consult tax laws, solicitation laws, and other rules that may apply to your organization, as well as to consider how you will properly acknowledge gifts and issue tax receipts, among other considerations that may apply to you. We can't provide you with tax or legal advice.

Volunteer and Cooperating Attorneys

Dozens of attorneys volunteer their time to help the ACLU review potential cases or join with us to file a case. If interested in volunteer attorney or co-counsel opportunities, contact Executive Director Mindy Rush Chipman.
