Statement on Secretary of State Announcement

"Voting is the cornerstone of our democracy and the right upon which all our civil liberties rest. As such, we commend the Nebraska Secretary of State’s decisions to ensure all registered voters receive a vote by mail application. This is a smart step that strikes the right balance in protecting public health and preserving access to the ballot. Nebraska voters need to fill out these applications and return them as soon as possible. As planning for the primary continues, we pledge to work with state officials to ensure appropriate accommodations for voters with disabilities and will do all we can to protect other key voting rights issues."
