The ACLU of Nebraska engages with a variety of contractors and vendors to complete work that furthers the mission of the organization. This vendor and contractor work can take a variety of forms of agreements including, from time to time, sponsored projects. However, the ACLU of Nebraska is not and does not intend to become a major sponsor of research projects involving significant use of overhead and indirect expenses such as laboratory facilities. The ACLU of Nebraska also has an obligation as stewards of our charitable dollars to ensure that work to further our mission is conducted efficiently and effectively. As such, it is the policy of the ACLU of Nebraska that indirect costs associated with contracted projects must not exceed 10% of the project costs.
