Jane focuses on defending immigrants’ rights through support to the legal team and legal and policy research and analysis. As part of that work, she has advocated for permanent protections for Nebraska Dreamers and for an end to Nebraska’s only 287(g) agreement, a federal program that has local law enforcement officers performing federal immigration enforcement. Jane is also an engaged member of the Nebraska coalition working to protect the rights and safety of essential workers, many of whom are immigrants and Nebraskans of color.

Most recently, Jane was an Assistant City Solicitor with the City of Philadelphia Law Department in the Code and Public Nuisance Litigation Unit where she represented the City of Philadelphia in enforcement actions of the Philadelphia building and health codes and litigated a high-volume caseload at the local, state and federal level.

Jane is a graduate of the University of Nebraska-Lincoln and the University of Pennsylvania Law School where she was a law student representative in the Transnational Legal Clinic representing those seeking asylum. She was also a law student representative at the Criminal Defense Clinic.

Fun fact: Prior to law school, Jane was an assistant crew coach at Lafayette College in Easton, PA where she coached and managed the training and racing program for first-year college rowers.
