Immigration and Customs Enforcement (ICE) has confirmed one Nebraska worksite raid amid reports of multiple enforcement actions in Omaha and beyond. On June 10, 2025, ICE agents detained nearly 100 people at Glenn Valley Foods in Omaha according to our friends at the Center for Immigrant and Refugee Advancement (CIRA). As of this writing, CIRA says more than 70 of those detained remain in ICE custody.

It was the largest ICE raid in our state in years.

Immigrants are our neighbors, our coworkers and our loved ones. ICE's latest actions in Omaha are a direct result of President Trump’s inhumane federal immigration policies, and they will leave lasting damage in our communities. That's why hundreds of Nebraskans came together in protest after the raid to send a message that immigrants are welcome here and make it clear that Nebraskans don't support the president's extreme mass deportation agenda.

All of us, regardless of immigration status, have certain rights within our country. We're working closely with partners to understand the extent of ICE’s actions today, and we'll do everything we can to hold officials accountable for any violations of these workers’ rights. As our executive director Mindy Rush Chipman said in our media statement: "To those affected: we see you and we want you to know that we will never stop working to protect Nebraska’s immigrant families."

CIRA offers information and legal assistance for those detained by ICE. If you believe your rights have been violated by immigration authorities, we also want to hear from you.
