Today the ACLU of Nebraska launched a first of its kind program in Lancaster County, Nebraska to address the practice of jailing low-income Nebraskans who are unable to afford money bail.

The Nebraska Supreme Court issued a death warrant today for Carey Dean Moore. This will be the first death penalty execution in the state since 1997 and the first conducted by lethal injection.
